To become a registered member of the Spices Board of India, an exporter must obtain a Certificate of Registration as an Exporter of Spices (CRES). This registration is mandatory for any manufacturer or merchant dealing with the export of 52 scheduled spices from India. The entire application process is conducted online through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) common digital platform. Eligibility criteria To be eligible for CRES registration, applicants must meet the following conditions: The business must be based in India. The business entity must be officially registered. Applicants, directors, or partners must have no criminal record. Applicants must have a valid Import-Export (IEC) code issued by the DGFT.
